On December 24, the Traditional Folk Art Fair “Santurantikuy” takes place, where hundreds of artisans exhibit their works. El Niño Manuelito, (child Jesus) is the central character of the fair where renowned craftsmen and new artists present Christmas works made based on various techniques such as ceramics, silverware, imagery and others.
These handcrafted pieces accompany the Cusquenian births that are armed in small natural cribs adorned with native flora that is brought from far away by the brothers of the field, the ornaments that are acquired at the fair are animals of all species and all miniature that fits to births The area where clothes for the Baby Jesus are sold in all sizes, styles and colors is very popular.
